In most cases your username is your Moore ID (also known as your student number). For staff and faculty your username is usually based on your initials.
Use this username to sign into Wi-Fi, access my.moore.edu.au, change your password, enrol in subjects or manage your printing.
Students and staff are set up with a Microsoft 365 account. Your M365 username is the same as your short username, but with a domain added on the end.
For students your username will be in the format xxxxxxxx@student.moore.edu.au where xxxxxxxx is your Moore ID (student number).
Use this username to sign into Microsoft 365 (for email or to access the Office suite). Once you’re signed in, this account is also used for Single-Sign-On to some other systems, including LSS.
Student email addresses are in the format given.surname@student.moore.edu.au
. If you supplied a preferred name, it is used in place of given name. For example if Simon bar-Jonah has a preferred name of Peter, his email address will be peter.bar-jonah@student.moore.edu.au
.
We exclude spaces and replace special characters from email addresses for maximum compatibility so please don’t be offended that we’re butchering your name if it contains accents or other characters that some systems don’t like. For example, José de Miguel would become jose.demiguel@student.moore.edu.au
.
We can't tell you! Your password is stored as an encrypted hash which we can’t decrypt. However, your password is the same regardless of whether you’re signing in with your username or your Microsoft 365 credentials.
Your password can be changed or reset at forgot.moore.edu.au. See How to reset or change your password for more information.
If you are both a current student and a staff member you are very special. Contact the IT Team directly for more information!
