05.4.3 Length of Course

Full-time candidacy is normally for a minimum of two years (104 weeks) and a maximum of three years 156 weeks).

Part-time candidacy is for a minimum of three years (156 weeks) and a maximum of six years (312 weeks). Part-time candidacy is not available to international students (on an overseas student visa).

A candidate may not defer enrolment in the first six months of candidature. A maximum of twelve months deferral in total is permitted during the normal course of a postgraduate degree.
