09.15 Booking of Rooms

  1. Students and current members of the Moore College community are able to book rooms.

To enquire about booking a room please contact the Concierge in person or by email (concierge@moore.edu.au) and provide these details:

  • Time

  • Date/s - If it is a recurring booking, include a complete list of the dates you wish to book.

  • Desired room: First preference and second preference. (Some rooms are not bookable.)

  • Estimated number of people

  • Purpose

  1. Room availability and the purpose of the booking will determine which rooms can be booked and if a fee will be charged.

Please note:

a) For College Community-based activities (e.g. study groups, prayer meetings, student team meetings) rooms can be booked free of charge.

b) Students cannot book William Hodgson AB (WHAB) or William Hodgson C (WHC). These rooms are kept available for Faculty use.

c) Food and beverages are permitted in the following rooms:

  • Knox Common Room

  • Knox Annexe

  • TC Hammond Room

  • Dining Room

  • Cowper Common Room

Food is not permitted in all other rooms.

d) The College Green can be booked free of charge by students for private functions. This does not include access to the Knox Common Room or bathroom facilities. 

e) Students can book the Knox Common Room (including use of tables, chairs, kitchen facilities, bathroom facilities), through concierge@moore.edu.au. The following charges will apply: 

  • $50 fee is payable for a 0 – 3  hour event

  • $100 fee is payable for a 3 – 8 hour event

  • $30 fee is payable to just use furniture but not use the room or its facilities

This does not include use of the coffee machines.

f) Once your booking has been confirmed, you will receive instructions regarding payment, access, permitting decorations and responsibilities related to your booking.
