b) all full-time students: lunch (weekdays – during teaching weeks)

c) all part-time students: the lunch or dinner (opt-in) correlating to their class/chaplaincy group.

All students are expected to attend each weekday lunch in the Dining Room. Part-time students should attend lunch where reasonably practicable on the day/s they are present at the Newtown Campus for classes and/or Chaplaincy group.

Anyone who doesn’t fall into categories a, b or c is considered a guest. If guests wish to attend meals, they need to book in and pay at the Concierge Desk. (E.g. students’ spouses, part-timers on days they do not have class, Junior Jivers parents and Creche Parents, etc.).

If you have special dietary requirements, please make arrangements with the Head Chef via email kitchen@moore.edu.au . If you have been allocated/provided a special dietary meal, please collect this from the kitchen and not the general bain-maries.

Please note the following:

  • Meals are not transferable to other people.

  • No takeaway meals are provided for breakfast or lunch. If you have a lecture clash with lunch, please make arrangements with the Head Chef.

  • Friday lunches are served on disposable plates with disposable cutlery to be consumed outside where weather permits. No other meals are to be taken away from the kitchen without permission from the Head Chef.

  • Crockery or cutlery may be taken away from the Dining Room with permission from the Head Chef.

During Research Weeks, the Kitchen caters for students studying onsite, i.e., in the Library or in a Study Room. Anyone who is not studying onsite is considered a guest and needs to book in for lunch with at least 48 hours notice.

During STUVAC, the kitchen provides lunch for single resident students only.

Due to WH&S regulations children, babies or toddlers in prams, strollers or capsules should not be brought into the Dining Room.  Babies are welcome if they are in a pouch but must not be taken up to the bains-marie. Parents who are carrying the baby in the pouch should ask another student to get their meal for them.

Breakfast is provided only for single residents living in on-campus accommodation. Breakfast supplies are provided (by request on Fridays only) for self serve breakfasts on the weekend. Lunch and Dinner are not provided on Saturday or Sunday or individual public holiday days.
