Moore College provides each student with 50GB of OneDrive storage for coursework, projects, and collaborative projects.

Why Cloud Storage?
OneDrive (or any other cloud storage) offers several advantages over other storage methods:

  2. Collaboration: You can share documents and work collaboratively with peers.

  3. Backup: You can protect your files against loss due to device failure or theft.

Making the Most of OneDrive

OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage service, is integrated with Office 365, making it seamless to work with Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations. With 50GB of storage per student, it accommodates academic needs such as assignments, research papers, and group projects. Utilize features like version history and automatic saving to streamline your workflow and ensure you never lose significant changes.

Alternatives for Personal Files

While OneDrive is excellent for academic purposes, investing in additional cloud storage for personal files is a good idea. This will give you space for photos, videos, and other non-academic documents. Here are some alternatives to consider:

  1. Google Drive: Offers 15GB of free storage and integrates well with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), making it suitable for personal and collaborative projects.

  2. Dropbox: Known for its user-friendly interface and robust file syncing capabilities, Dropbox offers 2GB of free storage with options to upgrade for more space.

  3. Apple iCloud: Ideal for Apple users, iCloud provides 5GB of free storage and seamlessly integrates with iOS and macOS devices.
